Open Positions:
Online Marketing Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented person to join our Marketing department as a Marketing Research Assistant.
In this role, you will work closely with both the Digital PR and SEO teams to assist with research and data collection as well as business writing and managing the creation of content based on your research.
Key responsibilities:
Research & Data Collection
- Regular collection and synthesis of relevant business data.
- Find relevant preferred suppliers lists, e.g., local gov suppliers/tenders.
- Keep up to date with relevant industry events, awards, and latest developments.
Content Creation & Management
- Write articles and blog posts based on your research
- Define, organize and manage freelance writers and content creators.
- Upcycle our existing content.
- Infographic ideation, creation, and management of freelance creators.
- Curate and monitor our online assets (e.g., images) to ensure copyright attribution.
Digital PR
- Routinely monitor specific platforms for Digital PR opportunities.
- Routinely monitor competitors' online presence and PR activities.
- Provide support/data/info to the Digital PR team to help them respond to opportunities promptly.
- Assist the Digital PR team by writing the initial draft for some pitches.
Search Engine Optimisation & Social Media
- Register with industry-specific sites/directories.
- Maintain and update our Google Business pages.
- Maintain and update our social media pages.
Required Skills / Experience / Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will:
- have experience in online research for a range of business topics;
- have experience with various forms of business and statistical writing;
- have excellent written and spoken English;
- be a good communicator, both in-person and via email/phone/etc.;
- be used to working with Microsoft's Office Suite (Word/Excel) / GSuite (Google Docs/Pages), email clients, and the web;
- be well versed with internet and social media use
- show a high level of attention to detail;
- be able to work methodically;
- have self-motivation and a good work ethic;
- have a willingness to try new techniques and listen to feedback.
The role is:
- Permanent, full-time 9 am-5 pm, five days a week (part-time may be considered for the right candidate).
- In-house at 45 Northside Drive in Hillarys.
- Only open to Australian citizens and permanent residents.
